Narrow IFA Flails

The IFA is a heavy-duty flail mower designed for rugged conditions and higher work duty compared to the SPF model. It is best described as an intermediate duty flail (hybrid of the SPF and 600-Series mowers).

The IFA model class features an enhanced gearbox, rotor and roller bearings, improved belt tensioning, and a thicker housing panel for increased durability relative to the SPF. The IFA offers versatile options, including upright, vineyard, and low profile belt housing positions, floating brush rakes, cutting widths up to 120 inches, and adjustable cut height with roller, gauge wheel, or caster wheel. The IFA can be utilized for light brush shredding or mowing depending on the equipped blade type.

The IFA can have a number of mast offsets including a fixed offset, hydraulic pantograph offset, & a dual-position offset (Two fixed 3-points, (1) centermount, (1) 12" offset). Available offsets are width dependent due to drivetrain angle concerns. Standard rear 3-point mounting, front push position mounting, & skid steer mounting are all available. The narrow IFA model is more compact and has more specialized cutting swaths to allow the mower to fit into tight row spacings.

Blade Options

FL920

The FL920 is Specifically Designed for Delivering a Groomed Finish. These blades are mounted on 6-Assemblies per Foot.

FL960

The FL960 is a Blade that Mows Well and is More Durable then The FL920. The FL960 Shreds more efficiently, Allowing you to drive Faster and Take less Horsepower in Applications where the Finish is Not Paramount.

FL946

Standard on our field choppers, the crop-chop knife is rolled to shape from C1050 alloy steel and heat treated for long edge life. Both the FL940 and 946 are reversible- the FL946 is a hard surfaced knife.

Rake Package

IFA Rake Package

Floating brush rakes assist with feeding material into rotor swing line for better shred quality and coverage. Rake height is adjustable using simple bolt and stop mechanism. The SPF rake package is not compatible with the Low-profile belt housing configuration

Rotor Bearings

OMMB100N

The OMMB100N is a double row spherical roller bearing. The capability for these bearings to handle radial and axial loads combined with their acceptional durability and self-aligning design make them ideal for demanding environments.

FL290R7-EXT

The Rears triple-sealed roller bearing is designed with anti-wrap protection, ensuring reliable performance and longevity. The pilot ring on the bearing housing is precisely mounted into a machined slot in the roller pivot plate. This piloted steel joint, rather than the bearing mount bolts, bears the weight of the flail, providing exceptional stability and durability. Adjusting your machine's cut height is straightforward. Simply rotate the pivot plate to achieve the desired position.

Belt Housing Configurations

Upright

The upright belt housing is the standard for the IFA. Upright belt housings meausure 30-7/8" for units under 85" (cutting swath) and 33-1/8" for units over 84". The upright belt housing is perfect for applications where overall flail height is not an issue (i.e. pasture mowing, offset flail mowing)

Low Profile

The low profile belt housing rocks the belt housing backwards and down to help avoid flail interference with fruit / canopy. The low-profile belt housing measures Low Profile: 25-7/8" for units under 85" (Cutting Swath) and 24-3/4" for units over 84". The low profile belt housing is used commonly in vineyard & orchard applications.

Vineyard Profile

The vineyard profile belt housing rocks the belt housing forward and down to help avoid flail interference with fruit / canopy and to assist with driveline angle issues that arise from low PTO heights in small orchard tractors. The vineyard profile belt housing measures 25-7/8" (Cutting Swath) and 24-3/4" for units over 84". The vineyard housing is used commonly in vineyard & orchard applications.

Hydraulic Offset (Roadside) Option

Hydraulic Offset Option

Hydraulic pantograph option (0-18") available for a variety of widths. Hydraulic offset is available for Low-Profile, Upright, and Vineyard configurations. Hydraulic offset is not compatible with certain narrow widths as drivetrain angles become prohibitive.

Forward and Reverse Rotation

Standard rotor rotation is opposite the direction of the tractor tire. This rotation may be reversed for Roadside Applications where Material Discharge is Hazardous.

Angle shearbar installation can be requested on new units to provide superior shred quality.

Gauge Wheel Options

Fixed Gauge Wheels

Tie tube style gauge wheels with bolt unbolt pivot for cut height adjustment. If turning without picking up the machine is a requirement, then castering gauge wheels will be required.

Castering Gauge Wheel Option

Castering gauge wheels mounted on boot & axle style toolbar are available when lifting machine prior to turning is not an option. Cut height adjustment is performed by bolting toolbar to different bolt-holes on machine's boot plates.
